This temple is beside Nagaraeswarar and opposite to the CSI hospital. The linga faces west. Sage Madhanga worshipped this Shivaa in order to control all his 5 senses. This temple was built by the Pallavaas. The pillar with the Sirpa of lion is the speciality of the Pallavaas Sculpture. It was built by Nandhivarma Pallavan. This is a 8 striped Linga. The Linga has a round Aavudaiyar.
