This temple is located in Krishnan street behind Samandhar temple. The Vilvaa tree worshipped Shivaa and became the Sthala Viruksha of this temple. In ancient days the linga was under the Vilvaa tree. The tree performed pooja to Shivaa by shedding the leaves on the linga. But now a temple has been built for the linga and named as Vilvanaadhaeswarar. This temple had a small underground passage.
