AIRAVADHAESWARAR - KANCHIPURAM

This temple is located opposite to the Kachabaeswarar temple in the southern end of the Raaja Veedhi. Shiva has a round Aavudaiyar. The linga faces west. The white elephant Airaavadha worshipped this Shivaa and became the Vaahana of Indhira. The shilpaas in this small temple is similar to that of the Kailaasanaadhar temple. This temple was built by the Pallavaas.
