This temple is found in Kizhakku Raaja Veedhi. The Theertham of this temple is Sirpi Theertham. Revathi, the daughter of Gubera worshipped this Shivaa. In ancient days the deity was known as Sirpeeswarar now this name is not known to anyone. The deity has been renamed as Muktheeswarar. The temple was built during the reign of Nandhi Varma Pallava II by his queen Dharma Mahadevi. In their period Muktheeswarar was called as Dharma Mahadevieeswaram. There is a Griha and an Artha Mandapam in the temple. Inside the Artha Mandapam on the Northern wall there are sculptures of Ravana Anugraha Murthy and Shiva Thandava. There are also figures of Ganga Visarjanar on the south wall. On the South wall we find another figure of Shiva Thandava Murthy. On the outer wall there are figures of Chandeswarar and Shiva Parvathi. In the northen side of the outer wall there are sculptures of Urthuva Thandavar, Durga and Chandesa Anugraha Murthy. The are figures of Dwarapalas, Lingothbhavar, Brahma, Surya and Vishnu also. On th southern side of the outer wall we have the Dwarapalas, Andhagasura Vadha Murthy, Yoga Dhakshinamurthy, Sivayogasana, Umamahaeswarar, Ganapathy and Shiva Parvathi Aalingana figures. This temple wonderful sculptures which serve as a treat to our eyes engraved by Pallavas. Shiva faces west. Linga has a round Aavudaiyar.
